Schools in Kangra, Chamba record good performance in Class X exams

Several schools have achieved 100 per cent pass results and produced top scorers. DAV Public School, Alampur in Kangra, recorded 100 per cent pass results. Akshita Thakur and Yash Chaudhary jointly topped the school with 93.83 per cent marks, followed by Shaurya Sharma (92.83 per cent) and Kashish Sapehia (91.33 per cent) at the second and third spots. Principal Bikram Singh said that the exam results reflected the collective hard work of the students and the teachers.
PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharamsala Cantonment, also achieved 100 per cent results. Shalini Dubey topped the school with 95.4 per cent marks, followed by Yug Dutt (91.2 per cent) and Ayan Mishra (89.2 per cent) at the second and third positions. Principal Sunil Chauhan said that the strong performance showed academic discipline and consistency.
DAV Public School BSPS Surangani in Chamba district also reported strong results. Tanvi Thakur topped the school with 93.4 per cent marks, followed by Sanvi Devkumar Moundekar (90.2 per cent) and Suryansh Prashar (89.4 per cent) at the second and third positions. Principal Naresh Kumar Sharma said that the academic achievement was a result of teamwork and dedication.
Bhagirathi Das DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Dharamsala, also achieved 100 per cent results. Drishti Verma topped the school with 93 per cent while Jyotiraditya (92.7 per cent) secured the second position and Abhinandan Kumar Pathak (92.3 per cent) stood third. Principal Vipin Jishtu said that the students’ success was a matter of pride and encouragement for future efforts. The school authorities congratulated the students and their parents for the excellent results.
Dalhousie Hilltop School achieves 100% pass results
Dalhousie Hilltop School, Dalhousie in Chamba, recorded 100 per cent pass results in the CBSE Class X examinations, the results of which were declared on Wednesday. As many as 50 per cent students scored above 90 per cent marks while 85 per cent students secured first division. The school authorities said that 85 per cent students also scored above 80 per cent, reflecting consistent academic performance.
Gargi Thakur, Khushbeer Singh and Akshita Verma scored 96 per cent marks each while Aarush Thakur and Fiazan Niaz Choudhary secured 95 per cent and 94 per cent marks, respectively.
School president Dr Poonam Dhawan congratulated the students, their parents and the staff on the academic achievement. “My heartfelt congratulations to all our students and faculty members for this outstanding accomplishment. The results reflect the culture of excellence that defines Dalhousie Hilltop School. With 97.8%, Stanzin Jungnes tops Dalhousie Public School
Students of Dalhousie Public School, Chamba, performed exceptionally well in the Class X CBSE Board Examinations-2026, the results of which were declared on Wednesday. Stanzin Jungnes topped the school with 97.8 per cent marks, securing a perfect 100 in English, followed by Shubh Mohan Kedia ((97 per cent) on the second position. Kedia scored 100 in mathematics. Saisha Sood secured the third position with 95.8 per cent marks and Krishna Sharma (95.2 per cent) stood fourth.
Intisaab Nasir Munshi and Taqdeer Kaur also excelled with an impressive 94.6 per cent marks each. In another notable achievement, Shaibaz Ali scored a 100 in Artificial Intelligence, reflecting the school’s strong emphasis on emerging subjects.
Overall, 35 students scored above 90 per cent. Out of 148 students, who appeared in the examinations, 138 secured first division. The school has maintained a strong track record of outstanding board results over the years and the latest performance further reinforces its reputation as a leading educational institution.
Dr (Capt) GS Dhillon, chairman and director of the school, praised the dedication and perseverance of the students in securing such high marks.
