Seven people, including a 20-year old pregnant woman, tested positive for COVID-19 in Solan on Sunday, taking the tally in the district to 825.

Among the fresh cases were reported, five are from the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) belt, one each from Arki and Solan.

Solan has the highest number of cases in Himachal Pradesh.

Solan Medical Health Officer Dr NK Gupta said three women, aged between 20 and 44 years, while four males in the age group of 38 to 40 years were among the positive cases.

The cases recorded from the BBN belt were either the direct contacts or had an influenza-like infection and are from Claridge Moulded Fibre industrial unit, Judi Kalan, Thana, Kishenpura and Khera villages.

One person from Ayurvedia Hospital, Solan, who is an inter-state traveller, and another from Beuli village in Arki, who is the contact of an already positive patient, were among the tested positive.
