Shimla, July 1
BJP general secretary Trilok Jamwal today said Congress president Pratibha Singh should stop accusing the media of distorting her statement when everyone heard her on her own Facebook page saying that the Gudiya case was a small crime.
Jamwal, in a statement issued here, said that it was not for the first time that Pratibha had blamed the media for her controversial remarks. “She is in a habit of making controversial statements and then retracting them by blaming the media for creating a controversy. She did exactly the same after she termed the Kargil War as insignificant and a small conflict,” he alleged.
He said Pratibha’s son Vikramaditya, too, was in the habit of behaving in a similar manner. “He also accused the media of distorting his remarks after he had warned government employees of dire consequences,” he added.
Meanwhile, the BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest against Pratibha Singh for calling the Gudiya rape case as a small incident.
