Shimla, February 20
SJVN Chairman and Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma has been conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) during a virtual function organised on Concrete Day and Construction Excellence Awards 2020.
The SJVN has emerged as a major player in the power sector in India and neighbouring countries under Sharma’s leadership. It is at present constructing five power projects with a capacity of 3,000 MW in India, Nepal and Bhutan. It has set targets of achieving 5,000 MW capacity by 2023, 12,000 MW by 2030 and 25,000 MW by 2040. Its installed capacity is 2,016.51 MW with a portfolio of 9,000 MW, having presence in various sectors of energy generation. — TNS
