State cop bags medal at national police shooting event

Himachal Pradesh Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Vijay Kumar has won an individual medal at the All India Police Duty Meet Shooting Competition (AIPDM) 2025-2026, bringing laurels to the state and the police department.
The championship is being held at the Group Centre of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Gurugram, Haryana, from March 22 to 30, where shooters from various police forces across the country are participating.
Kumar secured the medal in the pistol/revolver event-50 yards prone (SNAP), unsupported on elbow with double-hand grip, demonstrating exceptional marksmanship and consistency against top competitors from different state and central armed police forces.
Last month, he had also won two individual bronze medals at the All India Police Shooting (Sports) Competition held in Indore, further strengthening his record of achievements in national police shooting competitions.
DySP Vijay Kumar is a renowned international pistol shooter who has represented India with distinction at major international events including the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Olympic Games, where he won an Olympic medal in pistol shooting.
