Strengthen BJP organisation at grassroots level: MP to cadres

BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Sikander Kumar on Thursday urged party workers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and intensify public outreach efforts. He attacked the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh over its poor governance and development record. Sikander Kumar, while addressing the BJP's Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Camp in Kangra on second day, said that the party's organisational expansion should focus on both geographical and public outreach. He asked the party workers to strengthen village centres and booth-level units to ensure that every section of society, including the youth, women, farmers and the underprivileged, were made aware of the BJP's ideology and programmes.

He alleged that the state government had failed to fulfil its promises and development works had come to a standstill due to its policies, unfulfilled guarantees and administrative failure. He urged the party workers to expose the government's shortcomings at the grassroots level.

The MP said that the welfare schemes of the Central Government had benefited people across the country. He called upon the party workers to make every household aware of the Central Government's flagship programmes and achievements and mobilise public support.

Sikander Kumar also appealed to the party cadres to work collectively towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Viksit Bharat" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat", saying the goal of a developed India by 2047 could be achieved through dedicated organisational efforts.

MLA Pawan Kajal, state spokesperson Rakesh Sharma, district president Sachin Sharma, former MLA Vishal Nehria and other senior party office-bearers and workers of Kangra district attended the session.
