Vallabh Government College, Mandi, in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club and NCC (Girls Wing), organised various activities to mark AIDS Awareness Week on Wednesday. This year's theme was 'Choose the right path: My health, my right."The event was conducted by Ananya, President of the Red Ribbon Club. Dr Sanjay Narang, Associate Professor, was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr Radhika Jamwal, Nodal Officer of the Red Ribbon Club, emphasised spreading awareness about AIDS, discussing preventive measures, and debunking myths related to the disease.

Dr Sanjay Narang provided a detailed and concise overview of AIDS, informing students about prevention methods and the impact of the disease.

The event featured various competitions, including face painting, slogan writing, and reel-making. In reel making competition, Kartik secured the first place while Ananya secured second place. In slogan writing competition, Smriti Thakur secured the first place, Kavita stood second and Mohit bagged the third place.

In face painting competition, Shivani Jamwal secured the first place, followed by Tanisha and Anshika winning the third place.

Dr Radhika Jamwal, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, Vallabh Government College, Mandi, stated the event aimed to raise awareness among the youth about AIDS and provide them with accurate information.
