He made it clear that the state government’s objective was not limited to expanding CBSE schools alone. He added that schools affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education would also be strengthened equally, ensuring that every student receives better and competitive educational opportunities.
Kanwar invited suggestions from the principals attending the meeting and assured them of the government’s commitment to providing excellent education, modern facilities and a positive academic environment for students. He added that teachers’ interests were also being fully protected to maintain stability and confidence in the education system.
The Education Secretary issued directions that schools or students achieving excellence in any field should be widely publicised so that other students draw inspiration and parents gain confidence in government institutions.
He instructed the department officials to promptly submit proposals at the district and block levels regarding vacant teaching posts, infrastructure and other essential requirements so that deficiencies could be addressed in a timely manner. He reiterated that the Education Department was the state’s largest and most important department and it was essential to strengthen the overall development in the state.
Kanwar also inspected PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary Schools in Bhuntar and Bajaura and reviewed arrangements, academic activities and basic facilities there. He issued necessary directives to the school management, emphasising the holistic development of students.
