Students and teachers were sensitised about mental health and wellness during a one-day workshop organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at St Thomas’ School, Shimla. The workshop aimed on promoting mental health and wellness among students. The workshop also focused on sensitising teachers to the emotional and psychological needs of students in today’s fast-paced academic environment.
The workshop was conducted by Pooja Aggarwal, and Versha Dharma who served as the keynote speaker and resource persons for the event.
During the workshop, experts shared insights on identifying early signs of stress, anxiety and behavioural changes among students, and suggested effective classroom strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Apart from St Thomas’ School, teachers from schools in the surrounding areas also participated in the workshop. Principal of St Thomas’ School also presented a concise overview of the entire programme to the participants.
