The government will provide adequate facilities to tourists, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing members of the Shimla Hoteliers Association organised on World Tourism Day here late last evening.

The government was making all-out efforts to tap natural beauty and tourism potential to make Himachal as one of the favourite destinations.

He urged hoteliers to provide quality services to tourists so that they could act as brand ambassadors to promote the industry. Thanking the Union Government for reducing corporate tax, he said the Union Government had decided to levy no GST on hotel rooms with tariffs up to Rs 1,000. — TNS
