Tilted electric poles pose threat

TWO electric poles in front of my house at Lakkar Bazaar have tilted and are posing a threat to our lives and property. I have brought the issue to the notice of the authorities on several occasions, but to no avail. Every time I get to hear that the poles are strong and won't fall. We are living in constant fear of the poles falling down some day. We request the authorities to take necessary action at the earliest.

Dharamsala’s parking woes

Abus bay near the office of the Dharamsala Municipal Corporation provides parking space to local buses as well as those coming to the civic body. However, the Smart City authorities have started raising a structure over it. It seems the bus bay would be lost to an ornamental construction. Besides, the precious parking place would also be lost. It does not seem to be a smart solution for the city, which is already facing parking problems.

— Ramesh Kumar, Dharamsala
