Two drug peddlers arrested with 26g chitta in Shimla’s Theog
A case under section 21 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act, 1985 has been registered against the accused
Two persons have been arrested with 26 grams of chitta (heroin) in Shimla’s Theog.
The accused have been identified as Rajan Dogra (28) from Gawach village in Kotkhai, Shimla, and Aayush (21) from Batawada village in Kotkhai, Shimla.
According to police, they received a tip that several persons involved in drug trade were present in Theog. A police team then headed to Theog bypass where they found two persons sitting in a car which was parked along the roadside. Upon checking the vehicle, they found the contraband and subsequently arrested the accused.
SSP Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi confirmed the report and said a case under section 21 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act, 1985 has been registered against the accused and further investigation is going on.
