Two held with 32.56 grams of chitta in Baijnath

As part of its ongoing special campaign against drug abuse, the Kangra district police have arrested two youths and seized 32.56 grams of chitta (heroin) from them in Baijnath subdivision.

While confirming this, the Additional Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur said acting on a specific tip-off, a special police team conducted raids at a residence in Malehad village.

During the search, the police recovered 32.56 grams of chitta from the possession of Prince Rana (23), a resident of the village, and Sudhanshu Soni (26), a resident of Ladbhadol village.

The police had received information that Rana along with his stepbrother Soni was allegedly selling drugs from his mother Sonika Rana’s house. Acting swiftly, the police team carried out the search and recovered the contraband.

An FIR was registered against them under the NDPS Act at the Baijnath police station.
