Lok Sabha MP Anurag Thakur today termed the Union Budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as ‘Reform Express Budget”, which addresses the needs and aspirations of all Indian citizens. He was addressing mediapersons in Una at the BJP office. The MP said the successive Budgets presented by the Union Minister, her ninth in a row, have ushered positive reforms and transformations, besides enhancing the performance of the nation in all fields.
He said the Budgets during the Narendra Modi government have helped India achieve new heights in different fields. Consequently, he said India is today the world’s fastest-growing economy with a 7 per cent growth rate. In 2014, India was the world’s 10th largest economy and in 2026, it has reached the fourth place.
The BJP leader said during the 12 years of Modi’s governance, our borders have been secured and forex reserves have increased threefold, touching the $720 billion mark. He claimed there has not been a single incident of scam or corruption. He said while the Budget for year 2025-26 was Rs 50.65 lakh crore, the budget for the coming financial year has been enhanced by 5.6 per cent to Rs 53.47 lakh crore.
The MP earlier paid obeisance at the Radha Krishna temple in Kotla Kalan area of Una city where a fortnight-long annual religious function is on. Former MLAs Rajesh Thakur and Davinder Bhutto accompanied the MP
