Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hans Raj said a grand statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be installed at Tissa Colony Chowk in Churah subdivision of Chamba district.

In his address, Hans Raj said Vajpayee was a great personality and his historic decisions, speeches and achievements were a source of inspiration to all. The former Prime Minister considered Himachal as his second home. The contributions made by him for the progress and upliftment of the state would always be remembered.

Hans Raj said an action plan had been prepared to construct a library in Churah sub division with modern facilities dedicated to Vajpayee. A suitable place was being identified in Tissa gram panchayat so that Atal library could be started soon.

The Deputy Speaker announced that a suitable place for construction of mini-secretariat for Churah sub division at Bhanjraru had been selected and construction work would start soon. A grand building would also be constructed for a 100-bed hospital at Tissa.
