With 98.44 pass percentage, girls fare better than boys in Himachal in CBSE Class X exams

Girls have yet again performed better than boys in Himachal in the CBSE Class X exams, the results of which were declared on Wednesday. The girls have achieved a pass percentage of 98.44 while the boys have secured a pass percentage of 97.30. Overall, the state’s pass percentage is 97.78, one of the highest in the country. A total of 17,709 students appeared for the exams in the state (9,813 boys and 7,896 girls). Of the total students, 17,316 cleared the exams.

All categories of students have secured over 97 per cent pass percentage, with the Schedule Tribe students obtaining 98.51 per cent, the highest in the state. The general category students secured 97.94 pass percentage, followed by Other Backward Classs (OBC) students (97.35 per cent) and Scheduled Caste students (97.04 per cent).
