Woman dies after consuming cough syrup in Barotiwala

A woman died under mysterious conditions at Jharmajri village in Barotiwala after she consumed a cough syrup yesterday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Sapna Kumari, who hails from Ghumarwin in Bilaspur.

The woman, who was unwell, consumed a cough syrup bought from a pharmacy store.

Additional SP Baddi Ashok Kumar said the remaining cough syrup and viscera of the deceased had been sent to forensic science laboratory for analysis.
