Shimla: The World Bank has shown satisfaction over the pace of work in the last financial year on a horticulture project.
The World Bank-funded Rs 1,135 crore project aims to bring about innovative changes in the way apple and other temperate fruits are grown in the state.
The bank is holding review meetings with project officials. Despite good progress in the last financial year, the project is running behind schedule.
The project will enter final year in some days with over 40 per cent budget yet to be used. The government will seek an extension of one year to complete the project.
