Yellow alert issued for rain in Himachal

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, in Chamba and Kangra districts of Himachal Pradesh on Monday.

There is also a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Una, Bilaspur, Solan, Sirmaur and Hamirpur districts.

Meanwhile, maximum temperatures have dropped by 2—8°C over the last 24 hours, while minimum temperatures in the mid and high hills have slipped by 2—6°C.

The forecast predicts rain or light snow in the region for the next three days, starting from Tuesday.
