Zinta takes charge as HPU Dean of Students’ Welfare

Prof RL Zinta took over as Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW) of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) in Shimla on Thursday. He said that students were the soul of the university and their welfare was of utmost importance. He added that he would promote physical, socioeconomic and emotional well-being of the students through favourable welfare schemes and policies.

He said his thrust would be on empowering students belonging to poor families and disabled students by introducing fellowship schemes for them. He added that he would attempt to indulge students in co-curricular, sports and cultural activities so that they remain away from drugs.

THE TRIBUNE is free, objective, and independent. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language, are the hallmarks of the paper.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
