We had also held a book exhibition on the subject related to environment-friendly lifestyle. The collaboration with the two global NGOs had stressed the need to protect the environment and our first activity is held on Sikh Environment Day celebrated in June every year,” said Prabhjot Sandhu.

IHA Foundation partnered with Earth Day Network, headed in India by Karuna A Singh, for the awareness programmes and subsequent implementation work for several environmental issues including air pollution, discouraging plastic use and saving water resources. Earth Day Network runs over 75,000 partnerships in the field of environmental activities world over.

The library too has been running environment programmes for the readers and members. ‘We declared our premises plastic free and also encouraged our readers and members to do plantation and rainwater harvesting.
