Meeting the long-pending demand of residents of the city, the Vrindavan bus service of the Punjab Roadways from Hoshiarpur was started on Thursday. It was flagged off by Cabinet Minister Sundar Sham Arora in the presence of saints and devotees.
A total of 50 devotees left for the ‘yatra’ acclaiming ‘Banke Bihari Lal's Jai’ and ‘Radhe-Radhe’. The bus was flagged off from Sri Govind Godham Gaushala on Adamwal Road. The bus will start daily from Hoshiarpur bus stand at 6:30 am and proceed to Vrindawan with Jalandhar as its first stoppage.
On return journey, the bus will leave from Mathura at 4 am on the next day. The expenses for the return journey for devotees on the first day tour were paid by Cabinet Minister Arora himself.
