Mental healthcare should be available at doorstep
- Every healthcare strategy had been taken over by technology, said public policy expert Prof Rajendra Pratap Gupta during ICONICA 2020.
- He laid emphasis on technological innovations that are increasingly influencing the market. ICONICA is a global summit on the next-gen paradigms in healthcare.
- “The use of technology in healthcare should have a limitation. For instance, there is no need for digitisation in the pharmacy sector. We need technology to improve diagnosis and its accuracy in the country. It help in assessing health problems at early stages and taking subsequent healthcare decision,” he said.
- On mental health, he said: “We need mobile ambulances for giving mental health services. Doctors dealing with mental healthcare should be available at the doorstep.”
