35-years-old man murdered in Panipat village; police suspects relative of murder
Prima facie, it appeared that the deceased, Rajneet and his relative Vinod were drunk and got into a feud
A -35-years-old man was found dead in the fields of Biholi village in Panipat district. Following the information, a police team of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Atma Ram along with Sub Inspector (SI) Virender, Station House Officer (SHO), Bapoli reached the spot to inquire into the matter.
The man was murdered by slitting his throat with some sharp-edged weapon.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet of Purnia in Bihar, who was working in the fields of a former sarpanch Jile Singh of Biholi village in Samalkha area of the district for the last 12 years.
As per the available information, he came back to his work from his village just two months ago. His dead body was found lying in a pool of blood in the fields of Ratan on Biholi-Bapoli road.
It was revealed in the preliminary investigation that Vinod, a relative of the deceased Ranjeet, came to Panipat just 10-15 days ago along with his family and started working in the fields of Amit, nephew of Jile Singh.
Vinod was also living in the same house in the field along with Ranjeet, which has brought Vinod under suspicion of the police.
The SI said prima facie, it appeared that both were drunk at night and got into an argument.
It is being suspected that Vinod had murdered Ranjeet due to the feud and ran away along with his family, the SHO said.
The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary for the postmortem examination and teams have been raiding to nab the accused, the SHO asserted.
