As many as eight Indian nationals have died and one remains missing since the West Asia conflict began, the government said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 12 Indian seafarers who had been stranded in Iraq arrived in Mumbai yesterday after Iraqi airspace reopened.

Addressing the inter-ministerial briefing here, officials said 14 Indian vessels — 13 India-flagged and one India-owned — remained in the Strait of Hormuz.
