Earlier, the CPC delegation had met BJP leaders and held wide-ranging discussions. It had also interacted with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionaries.

Meanwhile, the Congress accused the Narendra Modi-led government of pursuing a policy of “meek surrender” towards China and demanded transparency over the closed-door meetings held with the Chinese delegation.

The party said the country has a right to know what transpired during these interactions. Taking a swipe at the BJP, Congress remarked that the ruling party’s repeated claims of showing a “Laal Aankh” (red eye) to China had effectively turned into a “Laal Salaam” to the CPC.
