All NDA allies part of one family: PM Modi tells NCPI MPs at breakfast meet
The MPs described the interaction as warm and substantive, centred on development priorities for West Bengal, Northeast and individual constituencies
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hosted the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) MPs for a breakfast meeting at his residence, emphasising that every ally — regardless of how long they have been part of the NDA — was an equal member of the "one family”.
According to the party, "All 20 NCPI MPs joined the breakfast meet at the PM's residence."
Talking to reporters after the meeting, the MPs described the interaction as warm and substantive, centred on development priorities for West Bengal, Northeast and individual constituencies.
NCPI MP Kakoli Ghosh said the delegation was "overwhelmed" by the Prime Minister's "knowledge and wisdom" and the warmth with which he received them.
"He said that those who have been in the NDA for 20 years and those who have been for one year are all part of the one big family. He gave a wonderful message that we would all work collectively for the development of West Bengal," she said.
Sudip Bandyopadhyay said the discussions also focused on the development of the Northeast. "We had a conversation regarding the development of the northeast region of the nation. We will work to fulfil PM Modi's vision," he said after the meeting.
Echoing similar sentiments, Satabdi Roy said the Prime Minister interacted personally with every member and emphasised the importance of their role in national development.
"Our Prime Minister interacted warmly with everyone and held detailed discussions. We sat together over tea, and he told everyone that their contribution was important. He also discussed how they were planning and working towards the development of their respective constituencies," she said. Meanwhile Rachna Banerjee described the meeting as "memorable".
