MPs savour Punjabi flavours during lunch at Parliament canteen on Tuesday.

The monotony of political bitterness in Parliament was broken on Tuesday with BJP general Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh deciding to serve some Punjabi food flavours to fellow lawmakers.

Chugh had arranged a hearty Amritsari meal for whoever cared to savour.

Served the table was the famed Amritsari kulcha, Punjabi lassi and fruit cream, and some other distinct flavours and warmth of Amritsar.

Soon, the canteen table was full of MPs who wanted a slice of Punjab’s rich culinary heritage.
