Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Guatemala join New Delhi AI Declaration

As of February 21, 88 countries and international organisations had initially endorsed the declaration. With the addition of Bangladesh, Costa Rica and Guatemala, the number of signatories has now risen to 91, reflecting a broad-based global consensus on leveraging AI for economic growth and social good.

Guided by the principle of “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya” (Welfare for all, Happiness for all), the New Delhi Declaration underscores that the benefits of AI must be equitably shared across humanity. It emphasized strengthening international cooperation and multistakeholder engagement, respecting national sovereignty and advancing AI through accessible and trustworthy frameworks.

The expanding list of signatories signals broad-based support across regions for a cooperative approach to AI governance, positioning the declaration as a key milestone in shaping the future of global AI policy frameworks.
