In a sign of a further thaw in India-Bangladesh ties, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Riaz Hamidullah addressed senior military officers at the Indian Army’s War College in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday. Hamidullah interacted with around 180 senior military officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, who are currently undergoing the Higher Command Course at the institution. In a post on X, Hamidullah said he “shared perspectives on the state of Bangladesh-India ties”. He added that he also spoke about ways to address existing issues and challenges and the curve of the ‘road ahead’ in the shared interests of both countries. Earlier, the envoy was welcomed by Lt Gen Harjeet Singh Sahi, Commandant of the Army War College.
