Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday met UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and members of the visiting UAE delegation at Parliament House, reaffirming the close partnership between the two countries.

According to the officials, the interaction reflected the "strong and enduring partnership" between India and the UAE, built on mutual trust, shared interests and close cooperation. Birla said the meeting also reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to further strengthen bilateral relations and deepen people-to-people ties.

The meeting comes amid expanding India-UAE engagement across trade, investment, technology, energy and tourism, with the two countries maintaining regular high-level exchanges aimed at further broadening their strategic partnership.
