New Delhi, August 5
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security which was briefed on the situation in Bangladesh and its potential implications for India.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed the committee on the developments after National Security Adviser Ajit Doval received former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina upon her arrival in India.

The CCS meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Home Minister Amit Shah, Principal Secretary to PM PK Mishra, Cabinet Secretary Rajeev Gauba and IB Director Tapan Deka.
