Amid ongoing trade agreement discussions, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday held a virtual interaction with his Canadian counterpart Maninder Sidhu. In remarks following the interaction, which took place three days ahead of Canadian PM Mark Carney’s visit to India, Goyal said he held a virtual meeting with Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, to advance discussions on the proposed India-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. “We also deliberated on strengthening business ties on both sides through regular delegation-level engagements over the coming months,” he said.
