India’s youth were powering the country’s rapid rise as a global force in artificial intelligence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday, crediting their innovation and forward-looking vision for earning international acclaim at the recently held AI Summit in Delhi.

Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister said the recognition reflected the power of India’s youth and their forward-looking vision in technology.

Referring to the summit hosted in the national capital, Modi said, “At the historic AI Summit held in Delhi, the entire world strongly praised India’s capabilities. This shows that our young people’s vision regarding technology is going to be highly beneficial for all of humanity.”

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 concluded with the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact, marking a significant milestone in global cooperation on artificial intelligence. The declaration was endorsed by 89 countries and international organisations including Australia, Brazil, China, France, Singapore, Russia and USA, reflecting a broad-based global consensus on leveraging AI for economic growth and social good.

The five-day summit witnessed international participation and was attended by 20 Heads of Government and 59 ministerial-level representatives and government representatives from 118 countries. The summit also convened more than 100 global AI leaders, CEOs and CXOs and over 500 leading AI experts from across the world.
