In a message marking one year since the attack, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar says the country honours the memory of the innocent lives lost and stands with their families in grief
Israel on Wednesday reaffirmed its solidarity with India on the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, paying tribute to the victims and pledging to deepen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
In a message marking one year since the attack, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the country honours the memory of the innocent lives lost and stands with their families in grief.
At least 26 people, including 25 tourists, were killed and 12 others injured when terrorists opened fire after targeting victims on the basis of religion in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. The attack was carried out by multiple terrorists linked to Pakistan-based outfits.
In response, India launched precision strikes in the early hours of May 7, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir). The operation named Op Sindoor, described by New Delhi as measured and focused, struck nine sites believed to be linked to cross-border terror planning.
Reiterating Israel’s firm stance, Saar said the country remains resolute and unwavering in its fight against terrorism in all its forms.
He emphasised that Israel and India will continue to strengthen cooperation to confront the threat of terrorism with determination, while advancing peace, security and stability.
