In his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi said enumerators would conduct door-to-door data collection using a mobile application and appealed to people to provide accurate details.

He added that people would also have the option to enter their information themselves. This facility will be available 15 days before enumerators visit their residences. Once they complete the process, individuals will receive a special ID on email or mobile, which can be shown to the staff for verification.

“National census is not just a government task. It’s the responsibility of all of us. Your participation is crucial. The information you provide will be kept completely secure and confidential. Let’s make Census 2027 a success,” PM Modi said, addressing fears over data security.

In his address, the Prime Minister also referred to the Iran-Israel War and urged the world to follow Lord Buddha’s ideals amid the continued global uncertainty.

Extending greetings ahead of Buddha Purnima, he noted that an organisation in South America’s Chile is promoting the teachings of Lord Buddha and emphasised that his teachings help people stay connected with nature.

“Lord Buddha taught us that peace begins within. Victory over oneself is the greatest victory. Amid the tensions and conflicts the world is going through today, his teachings have become very important,” PM Modi said.

Highlighting developments in the wind energy sector, Modi said, “India has recently achieved a major milestone in wind energy, with installed capacity exceeding 56 gigawatts. Today, the country is in the fourth position in the world in wind energy capacity.”
