Before love bloomed, Arjun and Saaniya were friends. They were reportedly introduced by Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar, who has been an old friend of Saaniya. Tendulkars and the Ghais (Saaniya’s maternal family) have known each other for a long time. Over time, frequent check-ins and long conversations helped them to take the next step in their friendship. Though, Arjun’s fiancée is “slightly older” (only a year, they say) the couple has been a steady support system for each other through demanding careers, personal commitments and busy schedules. Interestingly, Anjali, Tendulkar’s wife too is five years older to Sachin Tendulkar.
