He said this during a visit to Chhattisgarh to inaugurate the new building of the state Vidhan Sabha at Nava Raipur. Congratulating the people of Chhattisgarh on Statehood Day, Modi said, “I pay homage to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose vision led to the establishment of Chhattisgarh as a state 25 years ago.”
The PM further said many leaders from the state had played an important role in drafting the Constitution under Babasaheb Ambedkar’s leadership.
He said that the entire nation was moving forward by embracing India’s rich heritage and development. “The sacred Sengol now inspires the Indian Parliament, while the statues installed in the Parliament complex convey the profound depth of India’s democratic traditions to the world,” he added.
Calling India the “Mother of Democracy”, Modi said tribal communities in the country had lived democratic traditions for generations.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that Chhattisgarh was the maternal home of Lord Ram. Calling him a nephew of Chhattisgarh, Modi said there could be no better occasion to recall the Lord Ram’s ideals in this new Assembly complex.
“During the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the nation collectively resolved to move from devotion to nation-building. This resolve of “Ram to Rashtra” also signifies our commitment to destroy terrorism as demonstrated in Operation Sindoor,” said Modi.
“India is now moving towards the eradication of Naxalism and ‘Maoist terrorism’. The nation is filled with pride over its unprecedented victories”, said the Prime Minister.
He said the Bastar Olympics was now being discussed across the country, and that development and peace had returned to Naxal-affected regions.
Modi also addressed the Brahma Kumaris at the inauguration of “Shanti Shikhar”, a modern centre for spiritual learning, peace and meditation at Nava Raipur.
