NEET-UG: Two more  arrested from Patna

New Delhi, July 9

The CBI on Tuesday arrested two more persons from Patna in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak. With this, the total number of arrests made by the agency in the case has gone up to 11.

NEET-UG aspirant Sunny Kumar, who hails from Bihar’s Nalanda, and father of candidate Ranjit Kumar who hails from Gaya have been arrested.

The CBI has so far arrested eight persons from Bihar and one each from Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Maharashtra. It has brought three accused Sikander Kumar Yadvendu, Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand to Delhi for interrogation. They were arrested in Bihar.

On Monday, the CBI arrested Nanjune Dhppa from Latur in Maharashtra. He allegedly used to claim that he could get students’ marks increased in consideration for money.

The agency is investigating six cases related to irregularities in the exam.
