PM chairs DGP/IGP meeting in Raipur
Extensive deliberations on different aspects of India's security system
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired the opening day of the annual DGP-IGP Conference in Raipur, with top police and intelligence brass holding wide-ranging discussions on India's internal security landscape.
Official sources said the first day focused on strengthening coordination among states, emerging security challenges, and best practices in policing -- a theme the Prime Minister emphasised in his address.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah who inaugurated the conference on Friday was also present. In a post on X, Modi said the Raipur session had "witnessed extensive deliberations on different aspects of India's security system," adding that the conference remained a "great forum to share best practices and innovations" in national security.
