Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday welcome world leaders at Bharat Mandapam and a family photo will be taken after the grand reception at the AI Summit venue.

The PM will participate in the opening ceremony of AI Impact Summit 2026, which will start around 9.40 am. He will address the ceremony and lay down the roadmap for the India AI future vision.

Modi has already called for global AI standards and said technology can serve but not replace humanity. The PM is expected to present the Indian AI landscape potential to the world as he pitches it as a world leader in the fast emerging sector.

He said AI won’t cut into jobs, it will change the nature of jobs. Among world leaders expected at the event are Brazil President Luiz Lula da Silva, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Spanish President Pedro Sanchez, Greek PM and the leaders of Finland, Serbia, Croatia, Estonia, Kazakhstan and Bhutan.
