The discussion comes amid a period of significant political and economic transition in Venezuela, where Rodríguez has assumed the country’s top leadership role following recent upheavals.

Her government has simultaneously pursued domestic reforms, including an overhaul of the oil sector aimed at attracting foreign investment -- a move seen as part of broader efforts to stabilise and internationalise Venezuela’s energy industry.
