South Korean President Lee Jae Myung arrived in New Delhi for a three-day visit on Sunday. He was received by Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called on him in the evening. He posted on X, “Value his commitment to deepen India-Korea relations across multiple domains. Confident that his talks tomorrow with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will further strengthen our special strategic partnership.”
The External Affairs Ministry said during his visit, South Korean leader would hold discussions with PM Modi on strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum of areas. These include shipbuilding, trade, investments, AI, semiconductors, critical and emerging technologies, people-to-people connections and cultural exchanges. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. The PM will host a lunch in honour of the visiting dignitary.
