In New Delhi, Hooker will meet top Indian officials, including Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, for consultations on regional security, economic ties and shared priorities in the Indo-Pacific. The discussions will also cover ongoing Foreign Office Consultations, a key mechanism that shapes bilateral engagement.

During her Bengaluru leg, Hooker will visit the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and interact with leaders from India’s space, energy and technology sectors to explore new avenues of collaboration.

The US side is expected to push for deeper cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, space exploration and commercial technologies, including boosting American exports.

The embassy said the visit represents “another step forward” in strengthening President Trump’s priorities for a strong US-India partnership and supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific.
