In view of the evolving situation due to the coronavirus outbreak in China as well as the decision of Chinese authorities to cancel public gatherings and events, the Indian Embassy in China on Friday decided to call off the Republic Day reception scheduled to be held at the Embassy on January 26.
We take this occasion to wish all the Indian expatriate community in China a very happy Republic Day.

The Embassy announced this on its Twitter account in the morning.
“We take this occasion to wish all the Indian expatriate community in China a very happy Republic Day,” an Embassy statement said.
Coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan City in China and has since spread to neighbouring countries.
WHO emergency meeting is under way to discuss whether the outbreak needs to be designated a public health emergency of international concern.
