Waiting for his debut with Gujarat Titans this season, pacer Gurnoor Singh Brar is looking ahead to showcasing his talent under the captaincy of his Punjab teammate Shubman Gill. “As a captain, he’s doing very well. His attitude is always team-first. He does not focus on individual goals or milestones. He wants to do well for the team, and because of that, his individual growth is also happening,” said the 25-year-old from Sri Muktsar Sahib.
“As far as my bond with him is concerned, when I started at the district level in Mohali, he was the captain there as well. I played Mohali’s first match under him, and now I am with him in GT too. Whenever he is free, or when I am in Mohali, we practise together. It’s a growth pattern, we try to improve continuously,” he added.
He was picked by the Titans in 2025, but is yet to make a debut for the side. “I don’t see it as a difficult or negative phase. I see it as part of my personal growth. I am learning so much and I am grateful for this opportunity. I focus only on the positives, how I can learn more. I observe what other bowlers are doing well, their work ethic, their approach, and how (Ashish) Nehra sir and the other bowlers guide me. When I get my chance, all of this will help me a lot,” he said.
