Jammu, September 29

A total of 1,081 new Covid cases have been reported from J&K, 640 from the Jammu division and 441 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total number of cases to 74,095.

Also 18 deaths were reported, 11 from the Jammu division and seven from the Kashmir province.

Meanwhile, 1,250 more patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, 615 from the Jammu Division and 635 from the Kashmir valley.

According to the daily official bulletin issued on Tuesday evening, out of the 74,095 positive cases, 17,414 are active positive, 55,517 had recovered and 1,164 had died; 331 in the Jammu division and 833 in the Kashmir province.

The bulletin added that out of the 16,00,606 test results available, 15,26,511 samples had tested negative.

Till date, 5,73,200 persons have been enlisted for observation which include 14,281 persons in home quarantine, including facilities operated by the government, 17,414 in isolation and 52,052 under home surveillance. Besides, 4,88,289 persons have completed their surveillance period.

According to the bulletin, of the total 74,095 positive cases in J&K, 8,747 have been reported as travellers, while 65,348 as others.

The bulletin said the break-up represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
