Jammu, September 27
With 1,141 new Covid cases, 689 from the Jammu division and 452 from Kashmir Valley in the past 24 hours, the virus caseload in J&K reached 72,190 on Sunday.
The UT also recorded 1,365 recoveries during the same period, taking the number of total recovered patients to 52,859.
Seven more Covid deaths, three from the Jammu province and four from the Valley, were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 1,132 across the UT.
A total of 823 deaths have been reported from Kashmir Valley and 309 in the Jammu province.
According to the official bulletin issued on Sunday evening, out of the 72,190 positive cases, 18,199 were active positive, while 52,859 had recovered.
The bulletin further said that out of the 15,63,309 test results available, 14,91,119 samples had been negative.
Till date, 5,68,416 persons had been enlisted for observation, which included 15,230 persons in home quarantine, including facilities operated by the government, 18,199 in isolation and 51,081 under home surveillance. Besides, 4,82,774 persons had completed their surveillance period.
