Jammu, June 17

With the Amarnath Yatra around the corner, Jammu ADGP Mukesh Singh today said the police were keeping an eye on the miscreants who had been involved in terror-related activities in the past. The pilgrimage will start on June 30.

Briefing mediapersons about the arrangements, the Additional Director General of Police said the required number of security personnel had been deployed along the yatra route and other places.

Talking about the drone threat, Mukesh Singh said infrastructure had been developed to detect the movement of drones carrying arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, the ADGP handed over cheques worth Rs 33 lakh to the families of 11 cops who died due to Covid in Jammu province. The monetary help was provided by Mankind Pharma under its corporate social responsibility. Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli was also present.
