The BSF today said its personnel had spotted a flying object near the International Border in Arnia sector of Jammu. As they fired towards the blinking light, the suspected drone returned to the Pakistan side.

“At around 0530 hours, a blinking red and yellow light in the sky was observed by our forward troops in Arnia sector near the IB,” a senior official in the border guarding force said.

Later, the area was searched with the police help to find if anything was dropped, the official said, adding that nothing could be found.

On July 24, the police claimed it had shot down a Pakistani drone carrying a 5-kg IED in Kanachak. — TNS
